Phoenix Subcommittee Supports Continued Work on 2006 Bond

The Arizona Opera, Ballet Arizona and Black Theatre Troupe can continue to negotiate agreements for much-needed facilities approved in the city bond election in 2006.

While some questions were raised by Council members Williams and DiCiccio about the efficacy of moving forward with agreements reached before the current economic crisis, the committee voted unanimously on Tuesday to allow negotiations to move forward.  The full Council is expected to vote for approval of these projects, rated by staff as “priority A” at an upcoming policy session.
