Thomas Hoisch

Thomas Hoisch studied with famed cellist Joseph Di Tullio in Los Angeles. Prior to joining the Arizona Opera Orchestra in 1999, he played with numerous fine orchestras including the Nashville Symphony, Berkshire Music Center Orchestra (Tanglewood), Denver Symphony, Pasadena Symphony, and Colorado Music Festival.

He has played under the batons of Leonard Bernstein, Seiji Ozawa, and many other renowned conductors.  He also has numerous chamber music and solo performances to his credit, including three California performances of Tchaikovsky’s Rococo Variations (Claremont, Pasadena, and Long Beach) and two performances of Vivaldi’s concerto for two cellos (Denver and Boston), all with different orchestras.
