Bonny Brady began playing piano at age 7 and harp at age 12. A Tucson native, she started harp studies at the University of Arizona with renowned harp professor Susann McDonald while still in high school, and later graduated from the U. of A. with a Bachelor’s in Music Education.

Bonny has been Principal Harpist for the Arizona Opera Company Orchestra since 1987. She has performed in a number of groups over the years, including the Ballet Tucson Orchestra, Tucson Pops Orchestra, Southern Arizona Light Opera Company, Southern Arizona Symphony, Civic Orchestra of Tucson, and the Catalina Chamber Orchestra, as well as playing for well-known artists such as Johnny Mathis, Josh Groban, and Marvin Hamlisch in the Phoenix area. She also free-lances as a solo harpist.

In addition, she works as a lead programmer/analyst at the University of Arizona’s Facilities Management department. She shares her Tucson home with her husband, two cats, a lovebird, and a box turtle.
